Picture this. You have 3 rules: It must be a place you haven’t been before. You can get there within 5 hours. It must be relatively affordable (#reallife). For weekends on end, these two played the game and took turns surprising each other with new places to visit together. These two were MADE for adventure! Within minutes of chatting with them as we hiked through Yosemite, we were dreaming of far off places and reminiscing drool-worthy places we’ve been all while we hiked over a massive boulder base of a magnificent waterfall cascading down the sides of Yosemite cliffs. And when I pointed over to one of the giant boulders way off right under the fall’s mist, they simply laughed and said, “Let’s give it a go!”

There’s such a sense of freedom and flexibility that they exude. It makes you pause and consider what to loosen your grip on and what to prioritize instead. Adventure has been a priority for me this year and while I realize that it’s an incredible blessing that I may not always have, it was fun to adventure with these two to Yosemite Falls. Thanks for letting me jump into your lives for a weekend, it was such an honor!
